Chronicle ID:
Every document can have one or more versions present for it. To maintain the version tree of a document, i_chronical_id is been used. This ID is the object id of the root version and it remains same for all the documents in a version tree.
In Documentum you can give different kind of privileges to the User. Based on the privileges the user can Create Type, Cabinet and Group and various other action. For each user in Documentum a dm_user object is created. The dm_user.user_privileges and dm_user.user_xprivileges stores the Privileges of the user. The dm_user.client_capability attributes stores the Capability of the users. Each privileges, capabilities and there corresponding values are discussed below.
The docbroker plays an important role in session creation. The docbroker has the list of active repositories and its details for the session creation. The host name and the port number details of docbroker is present in the dfc.properties.
The versioning happens when the user checkout and checkin the document. When a user check-in a document the user is provided with below options
